Roy Boswell
Roy Boswell, born in 1985, is a distinguished Ex-Impressionist artist based in Butlerville, Indiana. Renowned for his expertise in both oil and acrylic painting, Boswell is celebrated for his sublime and mystical depictions of rural and agrarian life. His work is characterized by tight value families, inventive color palettes, and meticulously designed compositions that vividly capture the essence of the rural landscapes and farm scenes that inspire him.
Boswell’s artistic practice involves a rigorous process beginning with field sketches and reference gathering, followed by detailed studio work. His subject matter frequently reflects his personal connection to his childhood on a family farm, exploring themes of nostalgia and rural tranquility.
