Jenny Stankiewicz
Jenny (Sweany) Stankiewicz is an artist/artisan living in the beautiful wooded hills of Owen County, Indiana. She spent 30+ years as an archival picture framer, providing high quality framing services to private collectors and galleries around the Indianapolis and Bloomington area. Jenny has an extensive portfolio as a multimedia artist, including pastels, acrylics, mixed-media, collage, and more, and has taught art classes at the Indianapolis Art Center and the Endwright Center (Ellettsville).
Juniper Art Gallery carries Jenny’s line of artisan ware, Lost&Finds. These offerings include repurposed art glass as well as unisex bracelets and other jewelry creations.
Her one-of-a-kind handmade glass creations are made from repurposed glassware & other found pieces. Additional materials may include pewter, brass, crystal, ceramic & wood. Each piece is carefully designed to be aesthetically pleasing & functional. Many are made from vintage or antique pieces. Mason jar lids will unscrew for easy cleaning or for adding your own personal touch inside the jar. Most have a marble hidden somewhere inside the piece, usually in the base. This is her artist’s “signature” (the absence of a marble indicates it would have interfered with her design). Although well-constructed and secure, please hand-wash/clean your art glass piece to insure its longevity.
