Allen Hutton

Allen HuttonUtilitarian objects and often overlooked elements in the landscape become Allen Hutton's inspiration, they are transformed into portrait-like images that evoke a sense of dignity and importance. The subject is emphasized by his process of simplifying the geometry of the composition while maintaining structure and line.

Allen received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art. This culminated many years of artistic interest and creativity. His work continues to gain recognition, and he has exhibited in numerous juried art shows, receiving various awards.

In addition to exhibiting his artwork at Juniper Art Gallery, Allen Hutton is a member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana (Cardinal Fellow), the Ohio Watercolor Society (Signature Member), the Brown County Art Guild, the Hancock County Arts Council, and the Indiana Heritage Arts. His work can be found in both private and corporate collections across the country.

Artist's Statement: "I strive to render the fleeting patterns of light and shadow with the simple purpose of preserving the reality of a landscape or still-life in a particular moment in time and season."
