Kathryn Houghton

Kathryn J. Houghton was born in Madison WI. and now resides in Crawfordsville, IN. she is primarily a self-taught artist, giving her grandparents credit for showing her the wonders of nature at a very early age. Kathryn’s early memories in their gardens, were the beginnings of the inspirations that she draws from today, and the beginnings of her passions for painting and gardening. Kathy strives to bring the miracle of nature to her work, to help the viewer see what she sees, with a goal of conveying the beauty and wonder she finds in nature so that others may enjoy it also.

Kathryn is a member of Indiana Artists, the Hoosier Salon and the Athens Art Gallery. Recent awards include: Best of Show (2014) and First Place (2019) - Hoosier Salon, New Harmony Gallery.
