Juniper Art Gallery is proud to represent the best of the Midwest! Grace Gonso is a member of our Regional Artists Collective, and exhibits her artwork at Juniper year-round. We are pleased to offer this special exhibit of dreamy, peaceful, watery images that Grace recently created in her rural Owen County studio.

The opening reception for this exhibit is during the July 7th First Friday Gallery Walk (5-8 pm). Special music features the musical talents of Dan Deckard and Steve Sobiech (from 6-7:30 pm) on Juniper's stage, dedicated to the legacy of Janiece Jaffe.

Artist's Statement:
''I have always wanted to paint a lily pond like Monet's. Vertical reflections interrupted by horizontal lily pads with gem-like buds and flowers above the depth of a pond. So appealing and yet so challenging to portray on canvas.

I love lotus flowers, the symbol of purity, strength, resilience, and rebirth. I admire my lotus patch in our pond every summer. Both lily and lotus represent feminine beauty. I wanted to paint their beauty in nature and share my representation with others.''
