Beautiful high-fired stoneware hummingbird feeder by Art Baird. Includes a braided cord for hanging and a glass feeding tube for functionality. Makes a wonderful gift when spending additional time at home! Each piece is handmade and kiln-fired. Glazes may vary slightly.
You can mix your own nectar by using the following recipe:
- Four parts water to one part refined white sugar (do not use brown sugar, artificial sweeteners or honey. Also do not add red food coloring).
- Heat to a boil and let cool to room temperature.
- Change nectar every four days or as needed (hot weather will make it spoil more quickly)
To avoid dripping, do not hang in bright sun. Though functional, these feeders should be protected from squirrels or other critters that might cause them to fall and break (we recommend using a squirrel baffle on your pole).
