Erin says, "This dahlia was a pivotal work in developing my painting style. This was the first painting I challenged myself with capturing more detail than I had in past work. I was drawn to the purple to green transition of the stems, the flower was secondary. I continue to push myself to determine how far I can go with capturing every minute detail, not knowing when I’ll satisfy my limit."
