Artist statement
“I consider art to be a kind of medicine for the soul. In other words,
I consider the role of the artist, as it is commonly understood, to be
inadequate and I seek a much-expanded understanding of art and the
role of the artist in society. In my view, the artist is more like a
shaman or spiritual explorer who creates experiences for his audience
and not just products. My work involves a continuous process of
discovery and is not limited by any particular form of expression or
set of procedures or materials.”
