Amanda Baxter
Amanda Baxter is a weaver and textile artist in Spencer, Indiana. She received an MFA in Textiles from Indiana University in 2017. Her handwoven Tencel scarves include hand-dyed and hand-painted yarn, and she currently offer this yarn for purchase in her online shop abaxterstudio.com. Her research includes growing natural dyes for dyeing yarn, especially growing and extracting indigo dye from Japanese indigo plants. She is also currently researching and investing in regionally produced wool and having it produced into weaving yarn by regional mills.
