Erin says, "The lily’s insect bitten petals and thinning, brown papery leaf instantly drew me in. The unconventional profile perspective feels like a flower line-up. Initially, the lily looks bright and full of life. On further inspection you can sense the impending doom of inevitable decay. I love the small sliver of stamen and pistil, hinting at a hidden world. This piece was shown at the annual Hoosier Art Salon Exhibition in 2016."
