Erin says, "My amazing photographer coworker spent countless hours on our lunchbreaks scuttling around the woods, taking bloodroot reference photos with me. The flower petals of the bloodroot are a fleeting moment before dropping. The leaves have an alien, otherworldly shape. This painting was a surprise Christmas gift to my special nature-loving mother-in-law."
