Erin says, "I created this piece for my 2018 artist in residency at Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in the UP, Michigan. My two-week stay in a cozy, primitive, secluded cabin was filled with mostly strong winds and rain. The wet season brought gorgeous fungus to fruit which ultimately became my favorite subject matter. I loved how this mushroom curved itself around the bark in different angles."
