Jacki describes her painting style as impressionist realism. She says this about her work, “I try to capture the light and local color of the scene as well as the atmosphere of the scene. I want to create a mood about the subject, a feeling caught in time. Watercolor’s fluidness best expresses my efforts for that look.”

“I am always learning and trying to improve my techniques. I am a lifelong painter and learner. Each outdoor scene has a different light, so painting out of doors is inspiring. Often, I do sketches outside and then finish them in my studio where my light source is not changing.”
