The vibrant blues of the blue jays against the snowy background makes this watercolor pop with life even in the depth of a winter scene. It depicts a pair of blue jays perched upon the branches of a sycamore tree and sounding off, as jays usually do! This was painted in 1989, during the height of the artist's long career (1940's through early 2000's).
The image size is 16"x21.75, and is triple (white) matted in the original brushed silver metal frame to 24.25x30.5" (frame is in very good condition).
