This horizontally oriented, transparent watercolor captures a wren's constant movement, with its tail straight up and looking like it's about to pounce on the mayfly at the end of the branch. Wrens are always so full of character. This was painted in 1990, during the height of the artist's long career (1940's through early 2000's).
The image size is 15x5.25", and has an off-white matte with artist-drawn border lines. The painting is in its original warm-toned wooden framed to 22.25x12.5" (frame is in excellent condition).
